Bomberg's pupil from 1944 to 1951 and was co-founder of the famous Borough
Group whose members included Creffield, Holden, Marr and Richmond.
1956 and 1960, at the Slade, she became the torch bearer of Bomberg's
teaching and inspired many young artists - Dubsky, Procktor were among

Uglow and other contemporary artists in the sixties and was highly thought
of in England and abroad.

model and developed her highly individual, almost impressionistic style
- with a wonderful palette and great composition. Beyond the surface lightness
and delicacy, however, the spiritual heritage and density of Bomberg's
teaching remained with her.
