Jacob Kramer and Friends
Bomberg, Epstein, Meninsky and Naviasky

paintings and works on paper

4 July - 16 August 2003

In addition to 30 works by Kramer we include works by artists who were his friends. During the years in London (1913-1916) he became close to Bomberg, Epstein, Gertler, Meninsky and Rosenberg. They exhibited together at "The Twentieth Century Art Review of the Modern Movement" at the Whitechapel in 1914. He was elected member of the London Group in 1915. After his return to Leeds, where he spent the rest of his life, he remained particularly friendly with Epstein.

The exhibition coincides with the Ben Uri exhibition Jacob Kramer & William Roberts.
